Our Story

ten27 is a locally owned family run eatery and bar in the heart of Ferrymead in Christchurch.
Bringing upmarket food offerings, craft beer, New Zealand wines,

and live music performances to the area, ten27 is a refreshing departure from the city.

Owned by the Turnbull family, Jenny, John, and their sons, Matt and Ben, the Ferry Road destination stocks Garage Project, Cassels & Sons and Three Boys craft beers, Canterbury and Central Otago wines, and serves local produce.

Our chefs curate the menu to reflect the seasons, focusing on fresh and local produce, and daily fresh bread from the ten27 kitchen.

Seating for up to 100 people makes ten27 a great party venue choice, and you can be sure that there will be a spot available for breakfast, brunch, lunch and drinks. Bookings recommended.

The eatery also houses two courtyards, one is dog friendly and the other features a stunning outdoor fireplace setup.

The airy, pristine interior is championed by the stunning exterior - architecturally designed by Greg Young, in a post-earthquake rebuild on the same site which has housed Casual & Country for 30 years and the cafe for 20 years.

The polished, sophisticated feel is complimented by the beautiful furniture and homewares store, Casual & Country

with which it shares both premises and ownership.
